Celtic Wanderings
Celtic Wanderings has been providing historically accurate tours of Britain since 1991[BC]. For the scholar, archeologist, genealogist, or those with a love of the history of Britain, Celtic Wanderings shares your interest and will help you make the kind of travel arrangements that meet your specific needs.
Research and Resources We employ our own full time research staff of historians who help us plan each tour, as well as working closely with the local experts, organizations, and other cultural resources in each region we visit. We also call upon the most knowledgable scholars at universities worldwide to provide current research to our travelers.
Local Contacts Our tours are also structured to provide you with the time and resources to get to know the areas you visit. We invite local folklorists and just plain "interesting folks" to make their background and tales available.
Celtic Wanderings utilizes small country inns and B&B facilities to provide you with additional local contacts. All facilities are inspected and evaluated to provide the kind of experience our travelers require. Bicycle and car rentals as well as detailed walking routes are also provided for each area.
Professional Travel Services In addition to our scholarly research, Celtic Wanderings employs a staff highly skilled in creating a travel package for you.
Efficient and careful reservation and ticketing services, and coordination of your itinerary will ensure that all details of your trip will be complete. The most current online internet resources are available at our offices to assist in completing your package.
We can stay in contact with you throughout your journey to confirm your satisfaction or make adjustments for those "off the beaten path" changes in your tour.
